MEGA MANILA TV RATINGS: May 6-10, 2008!:

The long weekend brought much color to the ratings game.

The Big Night of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen Edition Plus last Saturday, June 7, lorded over the competition with a whopping 33.8 percent, which is also the highest rating that this ABS-CBN reality game show got on its entire run.

A far second was Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho with 26.6 percent; followed by Bitoy's Funniest Videos (26.5 percent), Imbestigador (22.1 percent), and Kapitan Boom (21.8 percent) to complete the Top 5.

As usual, GMA-7's noontime show Eat Bulaga! topped the daytime race with 24.6 percent. But the special coverage of StarTalk on the wake of action superstar Rudy Fernandez, who died earlier that day, propelled the Kapuso showbiz talk show to No. 2 with 23.3 percent—also one of its highest ratings ever.

Meanwhile, the Big Reunion of PBB Teen Edition Plus was the highest-rated primetime show last Sunday, June 8. It posted a rating of 24.7 percent with Mel & Joey a close second with 24.4 percent.

The results night of Pinoy Idol and the gag show Goin' Bulilit tied at No. 3 with identical 21 percent. Completing the Top 5 are All Star K and Kap's Amazing Stories.

ABS-CBN's musical-variety show ASAP '08 grabbed the top spot in the daytime race with 17 percent. Showbiz Central and The Buzz, which both allotted generous airtime for Daboy's wake, placed second and third, respectively.

Your Song followed at No. 4 while SOP was at No. 5.

The final night of the Teen Big Four—Ejay, Robi, Nicole, and Beauty—inside Bahay ni Kuya last Friday, June 7, generated a rating of 28.3 percent to push off 24 Oras at No. 4. The Kapuso Network's primetime newscast got 26.6 percent.

The top spot still belonged to Dyesebel, which posted a rating of 38 percent; followed by Joaquin Bordado and Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita.

Completing the Top 10 are the following Kapamilya shows: My Girl, Lobo, The Singing Bee, Maalaala Mo Kaya, and TV Patrol World.

Kaputol ng Isang Awit was the most-watched daytime program with 22.9 percent; with Magdusa Ka, Daisy Siete, Eat Bulaga!, and El Cuerpo Deseo trailing behind.

Monday and Tuesday primetime race was pretty much the same—with Dyesebel topping the Top 10 list—except by the inclusion of two new programs from both ABS-CBN and GMA-7.

ABS-CBN's Pinoy Dream Academy opened its second season last June 9 with 20.1 percent to grab the ninth spot. GMA-7's new Koreanovela, Dalja's Spring, got 19.2 percent to take the last spot in the Top 10.
